It’s a busy week for me, and I’m sure you have a lot going on, too, so I’m just going to jump right in to today’s posts.

- Come on, Get #HAPPO! – Okay, so I caught snippets of this #HAPPO event in my RSS reader and Twitter feed here and there for the past several days, but haven’t had time to sit down and drink it all in. Now that I have, I figured I should spread the word in case you haven’t heard about it yet. HAPPO = Help a PR Pro Out Day. It’s a one-day event (Feb. 19) intended to help PR pros find jobs. - For Telecommuters, It’s Not About Going To Work By Adam Hochberg – There was a #u30pro chat on Twitter back in October where we discussed what we’d change about the workplace. We eventually ended up chatting about the typical 9-5 work hours and the flexibility to work from home and I enjoyed hearing everyone’s perspectives – this article just adds to the discussion for me.
- Raising Your Hand Isn’t the Only Way to Get Noticed By Alex Tan – Two things to admit here. The first is that I work with Alex at GH. He calls me duder, we get in each other’s way when trying to get coffee and make oatmeal in the morning… I’m partial to his blog post. The second is that, because I work with Alex, I made time to read his post before I got started on my work today. Tsk, tsk, I know. But maybe you didn’t, and that’s what matters. Plus, I learned something. You want to get noticed at work? Don’t just raise your hand and volunteer to take on everything. Alex advises us to work smart instead. Want to know more? Clicky the linky!
- Google Buzz: The Official Demo [VIDEO] By Adam Ostrow and
- BREAKING: Google Goes Social with Google Buzz By Ben Parr – I hesitate to try to explain Google Buzz, because I don’t want to incorrectly describe it, but it seems pretty cool. The first link includes a quick two-minute video, while the second link has a bulleted list of features and notes that you can skim over. @replies, voice recognition, Google Maps layering, geotagging, wow.
- For fun: Fifteen Laughable Warning Labels By Katy Finneran – This is a little bit old, but I just ran across it. And I don’t think it needs an explanation.
- I’m short a post, I’m sick and my cold medicine is wearing off – I’m sorry. So I’m challenging you to share something with me!
